What's New In BareWater
Taking Up Residency!
After a very successful year of exploring who we are as BareWater Productions and once again creating some beautiful work for our audience which included a Brechtian comedy & 2 dance pieces, The Hope Street Theatre in Liverpool has offered us a 1 year residency meaning that will be their in house company; supporting their visiting companies and producing work to develop in their building.
Executive Director, Ally Arnold, and Artistic Director, Ben Rivers, are so proud of everything that the company have done so far and look forward to a long and healthy relationship with the theatre. We look forward to presenting one of our most well received shows at the Hope Street Festival on June 21ST as the first thing we will do whilst in residence as we present, once again, 'The Meeting'! Tickets are available below.
BareWater's First Year Closes!
August 18th 2018 saw a momentous day for all of the companies we have worked with over the past year. Our Edinburgh Fringe show, 'The Meeting' by Mell Flinn, had it's final audience leave the door and after came a flood of incredible responses to such a challenging show for us.
To close the season, we would like to leave our audiences with this:
Thank you to all of you who came and watched us play. Thank you to all of you who came and smiled or laughed or cried. And thank you to all of you who supported our art throughout the season.
Every person who came to our shows and to those of you who gave to our performances and process, you have moulded a company of creatives who aren't going to be losing their momentum. We promise to you that our 2019 season is going to be even more exciting and we can't wait to release our programme to you.
#BareWaterDoesFringe- Rehearsals Begin
After an amazing, fun-filled evening with a gorgeous sunset, lots of catching up and copious amounts of BBQ food, the Ed Fringe team all went home to bed to prepare for the next few months of hard work. Rehearsals begin tomorrow!
And now, as I type this, I am sat alone in our rehearsal room (early as usual!) waiting for the process to begin. These same 4 walls will soon hold an incredible cast, a phenomenal creative team and an outstanding crew. I, for one, cannot wait to see what becomes of the script and the decisions that are made in this room and by the talented people within. This is one of my favourite times within a production period- before it all begins (of course there has been hours and days and weeks of work that have already gone into this production, but now the fun really starts!). Firstly however, we play volleyball! This is how each rehearsal begins, it brings our energy levels up and is such a fun way to bring the group together. (UPDATE: The team I was on lost. Devastating)
My name is Faye Jones, and for those of you who don’t know I’m the marketing manager and assistant producer at BareWater Productions, you’ll be hearing a lot from me on this blog and mailing list and our social medias. I hope you’re as excited to hear about our Fringe journey as we are to embark on it! These updates will bring you insight into what we’re getting up to and how the show is coming along, hope you enjoy! Although I’m heading up the marketing side, you’ll be introduced to all the members of the team and hearing from their perspectives and experiences so you truly will be sailing along with us on our way to the festival.
Now, the read through has just begun so I’d better go and be indulged in the world of The Meeting.
Remember to follow us on all our social medias and buy your tickets... We’d love to see you there!
